The album serves as a nostalgic homage to classic first-wave black metal and 1980s speed/thrash, drawing heavy inspiration from legends like Sabbat, Bathory, and Venom. Steeped in occult, demonic imagery and primitive underground production, the record relies on razor-sharp speed riffs, blistering solos, and throat-shredding vocals.
Released in 2008, Conjuring Evil is the fourth full-length album by the Floridian black/thrash metal act Devastator.
